Our urban nightlife is sure to please all tastes. Best known for its world-renowned choir, Salt Lake also has the distinguished Utah Symphony and Opera, multiple dance companies, and professional theater groups. Alternative music venues as well as multiple jazz, blues, and bluegrass festivals create a vital music scene, and the Sundance Film Festival takes place every January. For sports fans, Salt Lake also boasts the Utah Jazz professional basketball team, the Salt Lake Bees triple-A baseball, and the Utah Grizzlies hockey. Not only does Salt Lake boast one of the highest concentrations of high-tech and biomedical companies, but Fast Company magazine has declared it one of the “15 Hot Cities for Creative Types” in their November issue.
