Travel Grant/Travel Stipend Policy


Westminster College will offer Travel Grants or Travel Stipends to newly admitted freshmen and transfer students. To qualify for the Travel Grant or Travel Stipend students must meet ALL of the following criteria:

• Be admitted to the college as a degree-seeking student
• Travel at least 250 miles or more from Salt Lake for an officially scheduled campus visit (home address or current school address will be used) 
Fill out a Travel Grant/Stipend Application
• Have the Travel Grant/Stipend Application approved by the Admissions Committee prior to visiting campus

**The Travel Grant deadline expires on Feburary 14, 2014.**

The Travel Stipend
Students who are admitted for the Fall 2014 semester and whose travel grant/stipend is approved by the Admissions Committee can choose to receive a $250 Travel Stipend in the form of a check during the visit to campus.

To receive the $250 Travel Stipend, the student must complete the following:
Submit the Travel Grant/Stipend Application by May 1, 2014 for Fall 2014 enrollment or December 1, 2013 for Spring 2014 enrollment
• Select the Travel Stipend option on the Travel Grant/Stipend Application
• Visitor prior to June 1, 2014 for Fall 2014 enrollment or prior to December 1, 2013 for Spring 2014 enrollment - Schedule your visit here

*Changes to the option selected can only be made prior to February 14, 2014 and requests for change must be made in writing and sent to the Westminster Admissions Office. The Admissions Committee will review and notify the recipient of the decision in writing.
