Application requirements

Westminster College enrolls students based on their potential for success. Although we encourage students to take challenging classes, we do not have specific required courses for enrollment. If students meet their high school requirements we will consider them for admission to Westminster College.

What your seniors need to submit

Financial Aid

Each Westminster applicant is considered for a scholarship based on his/her academic experience, test scores, GPA, and extracurricular activities. There is no separate scholarship application, but students who wish to apply for any type of aid must fill out the FAFSA. For more information, please visit our Financial Aid site.

Deadlines

It is important to note that Westminster does not have application / scholarship deadlines; however, we encourage students to apply September of their senior year.

What we look for in a Westminster applicant

We look at every student's application individually. We focus primarily on the student's academic preparation in high school. We expect applicants to have taken a solid and academically challenging curriculum throughout his / her high school career. Senior courses and grades are evaluated as well. We encourage students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and an ACT composite score of 20 or higher to apply to the college. Last year the average GPA for incoming freshmen was a 3.6 and the average ACT score was a 24. Please keep in mind that we do not accept applicants based on an admissions index.
