MSN FAQ

  1. What can I expect from the MSN program?
    The Master of Science in Nursing builds on baccalaureate nursing preparation to enable students to provide primary health care services
    to clients across the life span.
  2. How long is the program?
    Students enter the program at the beginning of fall semester and may complete the 42 credit hour requirements for the MSN-Family Nurse Practitioner Program within five semesters, including one summer.
  3. How many clinical hours must I complete?
    The total clinical practice hours for the MSN-FNP program are 504 hours.
  4. How many students are accepted?
    We accept fifteen students every fall term.
  5. Do I have to take the GRE?
    The GRE is not required for the Master of Science in Nurse Education program.
    The GRE is required for the Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia and the Family Nurse Practitioner programs.
  6. How much is tuition?
    2012-2013 FNP tuition is $945 per credit hour
    2012-2013 MSN.Ed. tuition is $645 per credit hour 
    2012-2013 MSNA tuition is $1,080 per credit hour
