Advising About the Residency Policy
The residency policy changed in 2005 but there are still many students here attending under older catalog years. Students must adhere to the catalog that they formally declare as their governing catalog for all academic programs. For example, a student who starts school in 2004 and but elects a program under the 2006 catalog must adhere to the residency policy for the 2006 catalog year.
The first question to ask when advising about the residency policy is “what is your governing catalog year”?
For Students Declaring 2004, or older As their Governing Catalog Year
The residency policy reads as follows:
Undergraduate students earning baccalaureate degrees from Westminster must complete a minimum of 36 hours of course work at the college, including at least 12 hours of upper division course work in their major, and they must be enrolled at Westminster during the semester in which they complete requirements for graduation.
For Students declaring 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and beyond As their Governing Catalog Year
