Doug Jentzsch '10
Doug Jentzsch graduated from Westminster’s MBA program in 2010 and is now the director of rewards programs at Access Development. He said through hard work, dedication, and perseverance, he was able to develop professionally, but luck and good mentors played a large role as well. He tries to take the legacy of mentoring to his work, where he says in addition to normal office work he takes part in coaching and training operations staff and marketing consultants. Critical and integrative thinking are key to his success, as he analyzes each month the work his team is doing and how to improve their processes through data gathering, mind mapping, and brainstorming. He says the ability to adapt, coordinate, and collaborate through leadership and teamwork are integral to his work, showing him that “the skills used in the classroom often translate directly to the workplace.” His time at Westminster taught him that to change the world, you have to start with yourself, your family and your community, ideals that he showcases in his life through environmental consciousness and speaking out against unethical decisions in his everyday life.
