Ashley Seitz Kramer, originally from Ohio, spent a decade teaching writing at Ohio University, Case Western Reserve University, and most recently, Westminster College. Winner of the Ruth Stone Prize and the Schiff Prize, she recently won the Utah Writers' Prize from Western Humanities Review. Her creative work is published or forthcoming in numerous journals, including The Burnside Review,Western Humanities Review, Anti-, Parcel, The Citron Review, Cimarron Review, Quarterly West, Iron Horse Literary Review, The Southeast Review, Dogwood, The Cincinnati Review, Slice, Hunger Mountain, The St. Petersburg Review, Wicked Alice, Sow’s Ear, Brevity, and Cutbank. She’s been a finalist for the Joy Harjo Poetry Award, the Sow’s Ear Poetry Award, and a Ruth Lilly Fellowship. In 2012, she was nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and named a semi-finalist for the 42 Miles Press Book Award and the Brittingham/Pollak Prizes.
