Alysse Morton received her Ph.D. from the College of Management at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. Prior to receiving her doctorate, she spent several years working as a marketing analyst at Procter & Gamble where she analyzed the pricing and promotion of consumer goods. Alysse also has a B.S. in Decision Sciences from Indiana University's School of Business. In September 1997, Alysse moved to Utah to become an assistant professor at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah.
In September 2002, Alysse joined Westminster College's Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business as an associate professor. Westminster's hands-on approach to learning enables students to do a variety of activities in various classes. For example, students create complex business models in IRM 200, determine process improvements in MBA 640C, and visit operations up close and personal by taking facility tours such as seeing Coca-Cola get bottled in MGMT 309.
In her personal life, Alysse is married with two children. She enjoys exercising, skiing, cooking, crafts, and spending time with her family. In Spring 2012, Alysse took a sabbatical leave to travel and teach on Semester at Sea (a program run through the University of Virgina and the Institute for Shipboard Education). Alysse participated in this program as an undergraduate and enjoyed exploring 11 countries in 105 days while teaching operations management and global management to undergrads.
