About
My wife and I are originally from Iowa, and moved to Salt Lake City in 1998 when I retired from the US Navy. We have been married for 31 years, we have two grown children, and two grand kids (currently, they are the center of our universe!).

I learned to fly at the Navy Flying Clubs at Keflavik, Iceland and Patuxent River, Maryland. We flew a Grumman AA-1B, a Piper Warrior, several different Cessna products, and a Beech T-34 Mentor (a retired Navy training aircraft).

I have been one of the part-time instructors here at Westminster since 2001. I also do free lance instructing for aircraft owners. I occasionally fly with a friend in a Cirrus SR-22. We have made trips all over the western states, as well as a trip to Baja and the Copper Canyon region of Mexico. When I’m not at the airport you can usually find me playing with my grand kids (JAK and Zoe), on my motorcycle, or at the golf course.

I am truly proud to be a part of the Westminster aviation program. Flying here has made me a much better, and safer pilot. If there is any way I can assist you in reaching your aviation goals, please stop by my desk or give me a call.
