Kristjane Nordmeyer received her PhD from the University of Utah in 2008. She also received Master's Degrees in Gerontology and Sociology from the University of Utah. Kristjane's research combines her love of sociology, gender studies, care work, and aging. She also has experience in criminology, where she worked on a domestic violence grant at the University of Utah and studied partner violence in Salt Lake City, UT. Using this criminology background, Kristjane co-authored a book chapter with Dr. Heather Melton entitled "Crime in Utah", in Utah in the New Millennium: A Demographic Perspective, C.D. Zick & K.R. Smith (Eds.) (University of Utah Press, 2006). Most recently, Kristjane co-authored a book review with Dr. Rebecca Utz entitled "Feminism, Aging, and the Life Course" in The Gerontologist (October, 2007).
