Dr. Henage began his career with Arthur Andersen (one of the Big-8 accounting firms.) After completing his MBA, he joined the management development program at Conoco and worked up through a series of positions in Colorado, Texas, and California. He served as CFO of ViaNet, and later of American Engine. He still has an active role as a contract CFO with several emerging businesses.

Dr. Henage and his wife, Jeannine, are parents of seven children. Their youngest child, Alisha, is a student at Westminster.
