After 25 years of successful business experience Richard took early retirement and earned his Ph.D in Economics from the Univeristy of Utah, with a desire to share his many experiences in the class room. Richard began with Andersen Consulting in Houston (the forerunner of Accenture Consulting) and then spent the rest of his career with Mars Incorporated where he worked in accounting, planning and forecasting, strategy and analysis and information systems. He was a corporate controller three times: at Dove International, M&M/Mars, and Masterfoods USA (U.S. Consolidation). He served on the audit committees of the National Association of Confectioners and the Chocolate Manufacturers Association and also as a corporate officer in over 20 Mars Corporations. Richard is a Certified Management Accountant, and Certified by APICS in production and inventory control. He has teaching experience at the University of Utah, BYU and Strayer University.
