About Sara Demko, M.A.
Sara graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, International Studies, and Spanish. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Cultural Geography from Prescott College, where her thesis focused on best practices for refugees in higher education. As the Director of Student International Services, Sara advises students on study abroad opportunities and she serves as the immigration advisor for international students and scholars on F and J visas. At Westminster she serves on the Diversity Council and International Council, and is the staff advisor of the International Student Association. Sara has also been appointed as the Chair for the Utah Board of International Educators and Utah State Representative for NAFSA: Assocation of International Educators for a two-year term from 2010-12. Sara’s past positions include Assistant Director for Study Abroad at the University of Utah, International Student Advisor at Salt Lake Community College, and Program Coordinator for SIT Study Abroad.
