I began flying in 2001 after visiting Alaska and deciding Aviation would be a fun area to study in college. I jumped into aviation without any prior knowledge, and after earning my Private Pilot Certificate decided it was a career track I wanted pursue. I earned a degree in Aviation and was a flight instructor for two years while completing my Bachelors Degree in Business Management at Westminster College. In 2005, I made the leap to the airlines and for six years flew for SkyWest on the Embrear Brasilia and Canadair Regional Jet. While working for SkyWest I also spent two years working as an Internal Evaluation Program Auditor, which gave me the opportunity to work on high priority projects and gain substantial knowledge about how an airline operates and is managed. Currently, I have decided to pursue a different passion in education. I earned my Masters Degree in Adult Education, and I am enjoying being able to share my aviation experience and knowledge with students.
