Shamby Polychronis is an Associate Professor in the Special Education program at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has experience teaching students with severe disabilities in post-high programs with an emphasis on community-based education. Dr. Polychronis has served on multiple grant projects, co-authored several articles and textbooks, and presented at state and national conferences. Her scholarly interests include secondary education, individual rights for people with disabilities, post-school outcomes for students with disabilities, family support services, and teacher education.
