My research efforts focus on the use of computational methods to study the structural properties and dynamic behavior of complex molecular systems. I not only involve undergraduates in computational chemistry research, but also seek to incorporate computational modeling and simulation throughout the undergraduate curriculum. I am a passionate advocate of using technology in meaningful ways to enhance student learning. In each of of my courses, including general chemistry, physical chemistry and an interdisciplinary computer programming class for science majors, I incorporate a guided-inquiry learning approach that emphasizes active, collaborative, student-centered learning.
