About

Fred Fogo has a bachelor's degree from Wabash College, a master's from the University of Nevada, and a Ph.D. from the University of Utah. He has taught at the University of Nevada, Tahoe College, Western Nevada Community College, Nevada State Prison, Northern Nevada Community College, University of Arizona, Pima Community College, Salt Lake Community College, and the University of Utah. Fogo has been at Westminster College for fourteen years. Fogo's scholarly interests have been in mass media and popular culture. His book, I Read the News Today: the Social Drama of John Lennon's Death, explores how newspaper and magazine writers used Lennon's death to reflect on the sixties. Fogo teaches courses in journalism, mass media, and public relations.
