Description:

Program Description: The Student Scholarship Program supports students who wish to participate in educational programs overseas, including work, voluntary service, and internships. John E. Bowen Travel Grants: This program provides assistance to undergraduates participating in nontraditional overseas locations. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and attend a CIEE member or Academic Consortium member institution. Awards vary. Robert B. Bailey Scholarships: These scholarships are intended for students who are traditionally underrepresented in study abroad programs, especially ethnic minority students. Awards are generally $500. Awards are available to CIEE Study Center applications only. Applicants must discuss in their essays how membership in an underrepresented group was a factor in the choice of their program and how they intend to integrate their international experience into their academic, community, and extracurricular activities.
