Description:

Fellowships are granted to students who plan to enter the field of Byzantine studies. Fellows receive graduate school tuition and living expenses (determined by the graduate school the student enrolls) for two academic years. In addition, a summer travel grant provides up to $5,000 for travel to areas that are important for an understanding of Byzantine civilization and culture. Applicants must be nominated by their department or sponsoring committee by October 15.

Enrollment Requirement:

" Student of U.S. and Canadian universities and colleges or to American and Canadian citizens enrolled in non-North American universities and colleges. " Must be in last year of undergraduate education or recently received a bachelors degree. " Must have completed at least one year of ancient or Medieval Greek studies. " Must be applicants to graduate school in any area of Byzantine studies.
