Program Description: This program encourages young students to confront the problems of society in a creative and innovate way and offers them the opportunity to gain experience in organizing and implementing a project. Fellows may either create a new non-profit organization of initiate a project with an already existing organization. The fellowship provides $60,000 over a two-year period or $90,000 to partners over a two-year period. In addition, the foundation provides training and support for new fellows, guidance during the fellowships tenure, and aces to a network of former fellows and community service organization experts. Application Procedures and Deadline: The application cycle begins on November 1st. After that date, applicants are invited to submit an initial application online. The initial applicants must be submitted in early January. The foundation will review these initial applications and invite a selected set of candidates to complete a more exhaustive application by a deadline fixed in early March. Finalists will be notified in April and invited to interviews in early May, after which the final selection will be made. |

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must: " Be 18 years or older. " Have an original project idea. " Have an individual and autonomous project idea. " Have a project in the initial start up phase. " Be able to commit two years of full-time work to their projects. Applicants are ineligible if they: " Plan projects for the expansion of an existing project. " Plan for research projects. " Plan for lobbying activities. " Plan for project associated with faith-based initiates. " Are recipients of prior Echoing Green funding. |
