Program Description: The Capital Fellows Programs are nationally recognized for the opportunities they provide recipients to engage in public service and prepare for future careers in government, while actively contributing to the development and implementation of public policy in California. Each year, fellows are selected to spend 11 month working as members of a legislative, executive, or judicial branch office, and are typically given assignments with a significant about of responsibility and challenges. Fellows receive a monthly stipend, health benefits, and also enroll as graduate students for 12 credit hours in the Government Department or Public Policy Administration Program at the California State University at Sacramento.
