Program Description: The CHCI offers promising Latinos from across the U.S. the opportunity to gain experience at the national level in the public policy area of their choice. Those selected will attend a week-long orientation, research and interview with possible placements in the Washington, DC area and select the office that best matches their interests. In addition to the full-time work assignment, Fellows will participate together on a community service project of their design and also take part in weekly seminars with local and national leaders in a variety of fields. Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should have graduated from a college or university within one year of the application deadline, have a GPA of 3.0 or better, be consistently active in public service oriented activities, posses superior analytical and communication skills, and be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. |
