Program Description: Deerfield offers college graduates the opportunity to teach preparatory school. Fellows are responsible for teaching two sections and working with an experienced faculty mentor in planning and preparing for classes. Each fellow will live in a dormitory and supervise 11-16 students, coach two seasons of co-curricular activities or athletic teams, and cover dining hall table duty for sit-down meals. Eligibility Requirements: A strong candidate should have graduated from college with a degree in English, comparative literature/foreign language, history, mathematics, or science. Previous teaching experience or involvement with teenagers is valued but not required. |
