Program Description: The French government offers teaching assistantships to candidates where English, Spanish, German, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Russian are spoken. In addition to conversation classes, teaching assistants may offer individual tutoring, organized language-based activities, and provide general classroom assistants to the primary teacher. Assistantships currently pay monthly stipends, and health insurance. Assistants are responsible for their own housing accommodations. Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should be between 20 and 30 years of age, completed at least two years of higher education in modern languages by the time they take up their post, and have a good working knowledge of the French language. |
