The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) is the nation's leading organization supporting Hispanic higher education. HSF's vision is to strengthen the country by advancing college education among Hispanic Americans. During its 30-year history, HSF has awarded more than 73,000 scholarships in excess of $170 million to Hispanic students. Applicants must -->Be of Hispanic heritage: Persons descended from Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Dominican, Central, South American or other Spanish Cultures (Brazilians are included under South American). -->Be a U.S. citizen OR legal permanent resident. -->Enroll full-time in a degree-seeking program at a U.S. accredited, Title IV-eligible institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam. -->Apply for federal financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). ***See website for more details on specific eligibility and application requirements, areas of study, and deadlines. ***There are a number of scholarships available for undergraduate and graduate students |
