Description:

Bicycle Technicians provide mechanical support and technical expertise to the Westminster Wheels and Bicycle Collective programs.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Technicians are responsible for • Assisting members with basic repair and maintenance tasks during open shop hours • Maintaining Westminster Wheels bikes • Promoting the Westminster Bicycle Collective and Westminster Wheels at events • Participating in at least one training opportunity per semester (SLC bike collective workshops, etc) • Teaching at least one maintenance/repair/safety class for members per semester • Staffing the shop at least 6 hours per week • Maintaining a well organized, professional shop environment • Knowing and abiding by all shop rules and liability requirements • Handling sales of tubes, patch kits, and other merchandise • Attending a one hour weekly staff meeting per week • Finding replacement staffing if unable to work a shift • Reporting any problems to the Environmental Center Director
