The Environmental Center is seeking experienced bicycle technicians for student employment positions during the 2013-2014 school year. Technicians are responsible for • Assisting members with basic repair and maintenance tasks during open shop hours • Maintaining Westminster Wheels bikes • Promoting the Westminster Bicycle Collective and Westminster Wheels at events • Participating in at least one training opportunity per semester (SLC bike collective workshops, etc) • Staffing the shop at least 6 hours per week • Maintaining a well organized, professional shop environment • Knowing and abiding by all shop rules and liability requirements • Handling sales of tubes, patch kits, and other merchandise • Attending a one hour weekly staff meeting per week • Finding replacement staffing if unable to work a shift • Reporting any problems to the Environmental Center Director Desired qualifications include: • Previous experience working as a technician in a bike shop or similar setting • Demonstrated ability to work well with others • Enthusiasm for biking and bike maintenance Interested students should email a resume to Monica Ferreira, Environmental Center Assistant Director, at mferreira@westminstercollege.edu
