A student in this position is responsible for, but not limited to, assisting the International Recruiter in successfully bringing quality students to Westminster. Student will
specifically assist in International but may also assist in other recruiting platforms as well. Must be able to work 20 total hours per week. An ability to work at least 3 hours each day of the week is preferred; scheduling will be determined with supervisor (International Recruiter). Weekend and evening or morning shifts will be required at times with this position due to global time differences. Student must be available to start work on June 1 and work throughout the summer. Student must
represent Westminster College in a professional manner with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Should be able to work well in a goal-oriented team environment, respond well to new challenges, adjust well to unexpected expectations, and quickly embrace leadership opportunities. Student should be a model representative of good reputation, known on campus for exhibiting leadership qualities (hence, student must have been a Westminster student for at least 1 semester). Must be able
to take initiative and work independently with little supervision. A sense of innovation, creativity, and organization is preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Learn basic information about school and answers to frequently asked questions to better serve prospective families making inquiries. • Learn Admissions database systems. o Perform data entry into admissions database, including entry of new student intakes, tracking of application documents, enrollment documents, etc. • Assist with the organization and successful completion of on-campus events. • Email and/or call prospective students as requested by International Recruiter. Provide a “real student” connection to Westminster for these prospective students, emphasizing experiential aspect of Westminster, personal stories, and key messaging. Essential duties specific to international responsibilities: • Learn and understand Admissions process for international students. • Provide outstanding customer service to prospective and current school families, over email, in person and on the telephone. • Manage inquiries to achieve prompt contact and performance activity weekly goals. • Assist in planning and arranging informational meetings such as open houses, regional
presentations, training sessions, orientation programs, career days, etc. • Assist in identifying and leveraging various international resources to increase international student enrollment. • Support International Recruiter with email & calling campaigns and international chat sessions. Due to global time difference, may work evenings or mornings during international campaigns. • Work closely with the International Recruiter in efforts to complete important mailing outreach, reports,
and special projects. • Assist international recruiter in signing and sending personalized arsenal items via mail and email. • Compile reports for International recruiter and management team. • Utilize competent administrative skills to assist in getting enrollment tasks completed on time. • Other duties as assigned.
