Description:

The Assistant Admissions recruiter functions as the primary contact with all new prospective students at undergraduate and graduate levels. They will be responsible for assisting the outreach office with professionally and enthusiastically executing all outreach campaigns. This will mostly be though the use of telephone, but may also include texting and individual and group chats. Their general purpose is to
interact by phone with outside parties to generate further interest in Westminster College, engage students in a persuasive way, make
appointments, collect information or conduct follow-up. Student must represent Westminster College in a professional manner with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Should be able to work well in a goal-oriented team environment, respond well to new challenges, adjust well to unexpected expectations, and quickly embrace leadership opportunities. Student should be a model representative of good reputation, known on campus for exhibiting leadership qualities. Must be able to work independently with little supervision. This position would benefit a student interested in marketing, sales, higher education, and learning more about working in a professional environment and assessing outreach and prospecting needs for an organization. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities " Consistent and extensive telephone outreach is the primary function of this job. " Contact individuals by phone - It is absolutely necessary outreach callers feel comfortable communicating regularly via the telephone. " Conduct all phone calls and contact professionally. " Deliver on-message communications via
prepared scripts to persuade potential students to talk with recruiters for further information, schedule campus visits to meet with recruiters, other outreach campaigns as needed. " Respond to inquires via phone or email to ensure timely contact is made for each prospect or suspect. " Responsible for fully documenting each call " Customer service skills are highly valued. " Route calls to appropriate resource as designated. " Complete call logs and reports. " Learn Admissions database systems " Data entry and maintenance of admissions databases, maintain records of telephonic interactions " Follow up on initial contacts " Work closely with Graduate recruiters and Director to support their outreach efforts. " Cover front desk duties as assigned.
