The psychology department seeks to hire a student provide assistance to the department chair and to department faculty members. Job duties include maintenance of an online calendar, filing, list management, assistance with events, exam proctoring, literature searches, assistance with the majors/minors Canvas group, and other tasks and projects related to support for the department. Strong candidates will be reliable, responsible and organized, and can work with minimal supervision. Psychology major or minor preferred. Approximately 10 hours per week: at least 4 “office hours” in the Foster 110 Psychology Lab space and other hours for work that may be completed outside of regular work hours. Skills Needed Computer Skills Basic MS Word skills. Preferred: Intermediate skills such as Tables and Hanging Indents. Basic MS Excel skills: Example: setting up lists for sorting. Basic Canvas skills and comfort with using Canvas. Note: Training will be provided on Canvas for site management tasks. Outlook email (Westminster email) – basic functions and regular email checking. PsycINFO searching skills: basic searching and use of limiters. Good interpersonal and written communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality
