The Communication program is seeking a student to be a Technology Assistant to COMM 490: Portfolio.
The Tech Assistant will assist communication majors in the creation of their professional portfolio using Wordpress. The Tech Assistant will not be designing or planning the sites. She/He will be only providing support to help solve technology-related issues that arise from the building of the sites.
Wordpress expertise is not required, a willingness to learn and seek answers to student questions is.
The Tech Assistant will spend a maximum of three hours a week responding to questions posted by students to a Canvas discussion board or via email for the duration of the semester. The Technology Assistant will hold “drop in” hours for three hours per week beginning late September. The location will be the Tech Assistant’s choice of any place on campus. The hours will be in at least two blocks of time, held on a regular schedule. The Tech Assistant may be asked to attend the occasional class meeting over the course of the semester. Class meets on Fridays, 10am-11:50am.
This position pays $8 per hour. The position is for Fall 2014, with the option to renew for Spring 2015.
