Our location, in Salt Lake City, is the ideal environment in which to gain a comprehensive flight education expreience. We offer a variety of terrain, weather conditions, and flight environments that will fully prepare you for the next step in your aviation career.

  • The only intercollegiate program that is based at an international airport with highly structured class "B" airspace. The experience you gain by flying in this type of environment matches the flying environment of the commercial airlines--giving you a leg up on the competition. 
  • Dedicated to providing you with a variety of flight training experiences. At Westminster, you will experience a variety of terrain--from flatlands to mountains.
  • Well-suited to flying year-round. At some schools, it isn't possible to fly throughout the year, but at Westminster, our planes fly at least 300 days a year. If you like statisics, the percentages listed below represent typical "good flying days" and are based on information provided by the National Weather Service:

    Also worth noting: To help increase our students' flying opportunities during spring semester, we take a week-long spring break trip to St George the last week of February. St. George, Utah enjoys 98% good flying days the month of February. This trip also allows our students to gain valuable experience by flying to other destinations previously not reachable from Salt Lake City.
