Well, I am back.

I have had a busy week trying to find a new place to live and get moved in. I am currently working on both. As I was saying before, college is amazing and a chance of a lifetime. I have plenty of stories from my High School years, but I have so many more from my four years at Westminster.

I was very excited my first week as I moved into Hogle hall, one of the freshmen residence halls. The first week of living there I was in my room when it was time to go to bed. I was always in the lounges hanging out and making new friends. College is a place where you can reinvent yourself because nobody knows who you used to be or if you were the jock or the nerd in high school. I immediately decided to start up a poker club on campus and it was a great way to get involved with Associated Students of Westminster College (ASWC).

I strongly encourage those of you reading this coming to Westminster for the first to use this once in a lifetime opportunity to:

1) Jump out of your shell and become the person you never thought you could be, and if you are very friendly already, go out of your way to talk to someone who seems a little shy.
2) Live in the freshmen halls instead of the apartments. It will allow you to meet so many more students.
3) If you live in the valley and thinking about commuting, try to make as many friends on campus and attend as many events. After all, this is what college is all about.
4) Get involved with leadership positions either through clubs, becoming a senator, or working as President of the student body.
5) Use the mountains, they are so close and have everything from hiking, biking, camping, skiing, snowboarding, and if you are adventurous you can try your hand at skeleton.
6) Go to the school dances, you will have the time of your life.
7) If struggling with your classes, get help through tutoring or the writing center.
8) Take up an instrument. For just $100 a semester you can take 14 half hour lessons for piano, voice, guitar, violin or any other instruments you may be interested in.
9) Go to the lectures and film series on campus. You will learn many different things about the world just by going to one or two of these.
10) Lastly, enjoy yourself and have fun. This is the last time we will have this much freedom to do whatever we want and be carless with our bodies and our money.

I have enjoyed myself over the years and wish everyone graduating Westminster College 2009 the best of luck in this low job market.

May 6th, 2009 So Here I am, a graduating senior who just found out that he passed all of his classes for the last time and will soon be a graduate from Westminster College. I can still remeber that first week that I came to the college and my parents were helping me move into my Hogle 313 room. It was 95 degrees and I was not used to the heat or the high elevation. I was on a high that whole first week. It was like summer camp, and then you actually had to start going to classes and doing this thing called time management and learning. No longer were the days that you would get up at 7 everyday, go to school and have your parentals scold you for not doing your homework. well, must be off, I will finish this later....

The college basketball teams are both playing in championship games tonight and tomorrow. The Women play Leis and Clark State and the men will play Rock Mountain College.

Last Saturday night the men defeated a tough Carroll College team at the buzzer. It was the best basketball game I have ever at
