“Global Capitalist Crisis and the Second Great Depression”

SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster College is pleased to host a lecture by Dr. Armando Navarro entitled “Global Capitalist Crisis and the Second Great Depression” on April 17, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. in the auditorium of the Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business.

 

Dr. Navarro will discuss his most recent book, Global Capitalist Crisis and the Second Great Depression. In his book, Navarro details the political history of the United States, leading up to the “Second Great Depression” and critiques America’s political culture. Navarro will also discuss how global capitalism has affected minorities and working class Americans, what political and economic events led to the global economic crisis, what is preventing America’s economic state from improving and what can be done to improve our economic state.

 

Navarro has 44 years of experience as an organizer and scholar-activist. He has dealt with a myriad of local, state, national, and international social justice, human rights and political empowerment related issues. This event is free and open to the public.
