Westminster Snowboard Teams Celebrate Success in First Season
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah -- The Westminster women’s snowboard team recently won the Unites States Collegiate Skiing and Snowboarding (USCSA) National Championship in the first year of the program. Westminster finished with six total points to place them ahead of Sierra Nevada College. Desiree Diselrod finished second in the individual results while Halie Beaver finished third. Nicole Roccanova finished 14th for the Griffins.
The Westminster men’s snowboard team also competed at the USCSA , qualifying in the first year of the program. The Griffins placed third as a team in the final combined standing with 18 points. Abram Greenspan was the leading individual in the overall standings with a 13th place finish. Greenspan received 78 points for his performance over the four events.
