Westminster College Offers Special Summer Tuition Rates
February 23, 2007
Westminster will be offering two ways for undergraduates to save on summer. Summer 2007 tuition will be discounted to $570 per credit hour and students can apply up to four May Term credits toward summer semester.
The $570 per credit hour summer tuition is discounted from the Fall/Spring semester tuition of $860 per credit hour. Further, there will be no student fees charged from summer semester.
In addition to the tuition discount, current Westminster students can take advantage of earned "free" credit hours. Westminster students who enrolled full-time in fall 2006 and/or spring 2007 earn two "free" credit hours for each semester, for a total of four possible credit hours. Students who apply two May Term hours to summer, must register for a minimum of 3 total credit hours. If a student is applying all four credit hours towards summer, will be required to register for 6 or more credit hours.
By combining banked earned credit hours with the reduced tuition rate, students can earn 6 credit hours during the summer for just $1,140, versus the $5,160 it would cost during the regular school year.
Westminster Provost, Cid Seidelman said, "We think this is a great way to help our students. The summer option gives students more control and affordability in their education. Students can now choose to take unique courses in an intensive one month session, satisfy degree requirements for less money, or do a combination of both May and summer semesters."
