SALT LAKE CITY- Taking a proactive approach to supporting the best transfer students in a difficult economic climate, Westminster is offering an incentive award to match the highest in-state public university “cost-of-attendance.” The estimated value of the award is $17,000 per year.

This exclusive award package will be offered for the summer and fall 2009 terms only.

“This incentive award provides the best and brightest transfer students access to a quality private education at an excellent cost,” said Joel Bauman, vice president for enrollment. “Unlike many institutions that are cutting programming and increasing class sizes, Westminster is committed to providing a quality education through our 10:1 student-faculty ratio, allowing many opportunities for personal faculty mentoring and an active and engaged classroom experience.”

Students interested in applying for this Transfer Scholars Incentive Award must file a Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), apply before June 1, 2009, have a 3.5 GPA or above from an accredited college or university, and enroll full time at Westminster. The award is renewable until graduation, provided they maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
