SALT LAKE CITY
– Paying for school is a major concern for most students, but with Westminster’s Save on Summer program, students have the chance to reduce the cost of their education in two ways.

Students registering for summer classes will pay just $709 per credit hour and student fees will be waived for the semester.

In addition to the 33% tuition discount, current Westminster students can take advantage of earned "free" credit hours. Westminster students who enrolled full-time in fall 2010 and spring 2011 earn two "free" credit hours for each semester, for a total of four possible “free” credit hours. These credit hours can be applied to either May Term or summer semester. Students who apply earned credit hours to summer, must register for a minimum of 3 total credit hours. To apply all four credit hours toward summer, students will be required to register for 6 or more credit hours.

By combining these “free” credit hours and the reduced tuition rate, students can earn 6 credit hours during the summer for just $1,418, versus the $6,390 it would cost during the regular school year.

“This summer option gives students more control and affordability in their education,” said Westminster Provost, Cid Seidelman. “Students can take unique courses, meet degree requirements and do it while saving money.”
