Westminster to Induct Macey and Prokopis into Hall of Fame
 
SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that Rex Macey and John T. Prokopis will be inducted into the Westminster Athletics Hall of Fame this February. Macey played football at the college from 1972-76 and Prokopis played basketball from 1951-55.
The formal induction will take place on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at the annual Senior Student-Athlete Recognition and Athletic Hall of Fame Celebration in the Behnken Field House. The evening will feature a celebration banquet honoring all 50 senior student-athletes from the 17 athletic teams at the college, along with the induction of Macey and Prokopis into the Athletics Hall of Fame.
Macey and Prokopis will also be honored at a 6 p.m. reception on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, in the Special Events room of the Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness, and Athletic Center. That same night, the nationally ranked Westminster men’s and women’s basketball teams will host Montana Tech in Frontier Conference action. The two hall of fame inductees will be introduced to the crowd at halftime of the men’s game. The action begins with the women’s game at 5:30 p.m. and is followed at 7:30 p.m. with the men’s game.
