SALT LAKE CITY - Westminster College announced today that the National Conference of Community and Justice of Utah (NCCJ) has relocated its offices to the Westminster campus. Under an agreement established between Westminster President Michael Bassis and NCCJ Executive Director Kilo Zamora. NCCJ will maintain its full independence but will have use of the facilities and administrative infrastructure of the college at no cost.

The arrangement is grounded in a belief by both organizations that an active and collaborative partnership would be mutually beneficial and would help each organization further its individual mission.
The NCCJ, founded in 1927 as The National Conference of Christians and Jews, is a human relations organization dedicated to fighting bias, bigotry and racism in America. NCCJ promotes understanding and respect among all races, religions and cultures through advocacy, conflict resolution and education. The NCCJ actively creates and promotes several programs designed to fight bias, bigotry and racism in all organizations.

This mission compliments Westminster’s goal to promote inclusiveness and respect for differences and to instill in their students a strong sense of global consciousness, social responsibility, and ethical awareness. Consistent with its core value to encourage “respect for diverse people and perspectives”, the college has been implementing new and innovative strategies to increase diversity of all kinds on the campus, including establishing a Center for Diversity and hosting an on-going diversity lecture series.
