Westminster Names New Athletics Director

SALT LAKE CITY - Westminster College has named Shay Wyatt as the new Director of Athletics. Wyatt will be responsible for leading Westminster’s intercollegiate athletics and college-sponsored club sports. He will also serve as sports information director and will manage a portion of the college’s Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness and Athletic Center.
Wyatt most recently served as the Director of Sports Marketing at Salt Lake Community College. He has been in Utah higher education sports since 1994. His career has included work at the University of Utah, Utah Valley State College, and Weber State University. At Salt Lake Community College, Wyatt successfully negotiated and developed a 3-year sponsorship agreement, which is the largest corporate partnership in the program’s history.
Wyatt earned his bachelor’s degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Bethel College in Newton, Kansas, in 1993 and a Master of Education in Sports Administration from Wichita State University in 1995.
