Students can complete either the Bachelor of Science in Management, or the Bachelor of Arts in Management. All students completing the Management major meet educational requirements for the Accelerated MBA Program for Westminster Graduates.
Program Goals
The Management major is designed to prepare students to manage effectively in a wide variety of business organizations. The purposes of the major are to ensure that students (1) understand the field of management and the environmental and organizational context in which managers operate, and (2) master the fundamental management principles and tools needed to assure their success as managers. Students majoring in Management will:
- Understand the factors affecting an organization’s competitive environment and strategic choices, and be able to use this information to make effective strategic decisions.
- Know the basic tools for analyzing an organization’s manufacturing and service operations and be able to use them effectively.
- Understand the principles associated with motivating, coordinating, leading, and managing people, and be able to use these principles to elicit excellent performance from individuals.
- Know how to establish and use measuring and monitoring systems to ensure that organizations achieve their goals.
Program Requirements
To fulfill the requirements for a Management major, students must complete the courses outlined below. Students must maintain a minimum 2.3 GPA in business program coursework.

Students completing the Bachelor of Arts option (B.A.) must complete either:

A declared academic minor other than the Business Minor; |
| b. |
Twelve credit hours of foreign language in one of the following ways: |
|
- Eight credit hours of a foreign language, and either: four credit hours of a Westminster May term/summer international study tour, or four credits of an international study tour transferred from an accredited college or university.
- Twelve credit hours of a single foreign language.
