The Center for China-America Business Studies (CCABS) was established in 2006 as an entity within the Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business. The mission of CCABS is to support and be an integral part of the college internationalism initiative by offering studying-abroad opportunities to students through our exchange programs with universities in China, and providing valuable information on China-America business opportunities and specialize trainings to the larger business communities in the western United Sates.  

CCABS will organize a series of activities that are opened to the public in the 2008-09 academic year, which include

• lecture given by Mr. Tang Mingchu, a former Washington D.C. based correspondence of People's Daily,
• "One Night Two Worlds" concert that features the Chamber Singers of Westminster College and the Choir of the Tianjin Conservatory of Music,
•  day-long celebration of the launch of the Asian Corner at Westminster's campus, a seminar on "An Uncertain World: the ABSc of Doing Business in China" that will be taught by experts in the field,
• 6-Saturday morning's course on fundamental business Chinese that promise to help you to master basic Chinese language used in everyday life and business meetings and negotiation, and many other exciting events;

To internationalize is to go beyond the boundary of a country. Following this initiative of the college, CCABS would also like to go beyond our own boundary and invite all of you to be part of us and together we build a distinctive and unique learning environment for everyone.
