Student Commencement Speaker Selection

The Dean of Student Office is in search of one graduating senior to speak on behalf of the graduating class. Candidates interested in delivering the speech or who would like to nominate another student should apply by February 19, 2016. The speech should be three to five minutes in length. Ideally, the speech should reflect the experience of graduates of a liberal arts education.

Interested graduates must send a letter of intent, along with an abstract of their speech and a brief resume to commencement@westminstercollege.edu. by February 19, 2016. It is important to include a telephone number and an address where you or your nominee may be contacted during the semester. Selected applicants will be notified by the Commencement Committee on February 22, 2016 and the final selection will be completed by February 29, 2016. Selection Timeline:

Feb. 19– Due Date for Intent/Speeches

Feb. 26 – Review of Intent/Speeches (Students will give their speeches.)

Feb. 29 – Decision to Selected Student Speaker
