Filmmaker Presents "Searching for Angela Shelton" To Raise Awareness of Sexual Abuse
Salt Lake City-March 19, 2004-Filmmaker Angela Shelton was determined to contact all the other women in America named "Angela Shelton." On her personal journey, she encountered woman after woman who was a victim of sexual abuse-an unsettling reflection of Shelton's own abusive background. The final product, "Searching for Angela Shelton," will be shown Tuesday, April 13, at 7:00 p.m. The screening is sponsored by Westminster College, the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault, the Salt Lake Chamber and the Salt Lake City Film Center. The presentation will take place in the Gore School of Business Auditorium and is open to the public at no charge, and will be followed by an open discussion with Angela Shelton. Free parking is available at 1700 South and 1200 East.
