Westminster College Appoints Jean Dyer Dean of the Westminster/St. Mark's School of Nursing
SALT LAKE CITY- Westminster College is pleased to announce the appointment of Jean Dyer as Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences. Dyer comes to us from Portland, Maine, where she has been the director of the Department of Nursing and Health Services Management at the University of New England.
Dyer was attracted to the job because of the challenge and creativity it will require to grow the program effectively. "The camaraderie and support of the Westminster faculty and staff will enable me to succeed," she said. "and
Over the past five years, Dyer has successfully directed the University of New England's Department of Nursing through significant growth and change. Her other accomplishments include developing and managing the only nationally accredited R.N. to B.S.N. nursing program in Israel, developing and implementing an R.N. to B.S.N. completion program for nontraditional registered nursing students at the University of New England, and developing a refresher course for registered nurses in New England. She also developed and produced nursing education videos, one of which was sold nationally.

Dyer holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maine, a M.S.N. in Nursing Education and Community Health from Salem State College, and a B.S.N. from Adelphi University.
