The Westminster Concert Series’ 2011-2012 season offers another rich array of chamber music and solo performances in the heart of Salt Lake City. Join us for a season of great music. All concerts are in the Vieve Gore Concert Hall, located in the Jewett Center for the Performing Arts and Emma Eccles Jones Conservatory. Purchase Tickets
This year's concert series will include a variety of different styles of music from medieval to modern.
All concerts will be held in the Vieve Gore Concert Hall and will begin at 7:30 PM.
January 30, 2012 | Bach Unaccompanied Violin - Part II
This evening’s program—the conclusion of a two-part presentation of Bach’s complete sonatas and partitas for solo violin—includes the Partita #2 in D Minor, Sonata #3 in C Major, and Partita #3 in E Major performed, respectively, by Yuki MacQueen, David Porter, and Stephanie Cathcart.

Les Graces: Italianisme! Italian Fashion Week in Paris, c. 1700
This program explores the flavors of musical italianisme on offer in Parisian musical life in the decades around 1700, from imported works by actual Italians like Alessandro Scarlatti, to cantatas by French composers like Montéclair that vaguely “sounded” Italian.

John Cage's Complete Sonatas and Interludes for Prepared Piano
Come hear what a piano sounds like with screws and other objects strategically inserted between the strings as Salt Lake City pianist Kimi Kawashima performs one of the twentieth century’s most interesting large-scale works for solo piano. Show up an hour early to see the the performer execute the preparation—with commentary.
