Study Abroad

Thailand: May, 2009Study abroad is a great way to expand your academic, cultural, and personal experiences. You will be challenged in different ways and become accustomed to a different way of living. Without a doubt a studying in a foriegn country will be a rewarding, life changing experience you will never forget.

Deciding to study abroad is a big decision and you probably have a lot of questions. While you will have to do a lot of individual research before departing, there are people who can help. Follow the guidelines below to help get started:

  1. Meet with Sara Demko in the International Center for a study abroad advising session.
  2. Attend a Study Abroad Fair! 
    The next Fair will be Thursday, January 28 from 10 am - 2 pm in Shaw.
  3. Choose a program
  4. Apply to the program and then complete the Westminster paperwork.
  5. Apply for financial aid and scholarships 
  6. Attend the Westminster Pre-Departure Orientation.
    If you are going abroad in Spring 2010, the mandatory pre-departure orientation is Thursday, December 10 from 12:30 - 4:00 pm in HWAC 351.
