Austin Thorpe, Director
AUDITION & GENERAL INFO
This group typically performs twice a semester on campus, and explores sacred and secular repertoire in a variety of classical, traditional, folk, and popular styles. To listen to the PRACTICE AUDIO FILES, please click here.
Eligibility: The Westminster Chorale is open to all Westminster students/faculty/staff, and members of the community. Prior vocal/choral experience is not required, but the director and chorus rely on everyone to faithfully attend rehearsals and perform in performances each semester.
Students need not prepare a solo song for the audition. There is no "make-it-or-break-it" portion of the audition; rather an audition is a means of gathering information about all interested students for appropriate placement. Assignment into the chorale is based on information from the audition process, balance needs and space availability. Students of all majors are encouraged to audition.
Audition Time: Placement auditions are held during the first week of each semester.
Rehearsal Info: Time: Tuesday 7:00 -- 9:00 p.m. in the Rehearsal Room of the Emma Eccles Jones Conservatory/Jewett Center for the Performing Arts
Uniforms: Derived from staples everyone has at home.
