Amy Hernandez

Originally from Taylorsville, Utah, Amy has been involved in a side of campus that most students don’t get to experience: public safety.

A double major and double minor in her own right, Amy is graduating with degrees in both English and Criminal Justice and minors in psychology and music.

For her Criminal Justice internship, Amy worked directly with Westminster College Campus Patrol, ensuring campus safety and security throughout the course of the school year.

In addition, she also received the Music Student of the Year Award from Westminster’s music program.

Amy’s most unforgettable Westminster experience occurred during a personal struggle. “My favorite memory of Westminster College was when I was speaking to several professors about a personal tragedy I was experiencing at the time. They were so compassionate and understanding. One of my professors even cried out of empathy. I am so grateful that I could attend a college where the professors not only know my name, but also understood my personal struggles.”

After graduation, Amy plans to work with homeland security.
